New member of the INPIM Board of Directors from Japan

Mr. Shin Imai, the INPIM board member in Japan, has handed over his responsibility as board member to Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki, a Senior Research Engineer at the Japanese Institute of Irrigation and Drainage (JIID) in Tokyo. Mr. Imai, who is a Deputy Director within the Overseas Land Improvement Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, has suggested that JIID is the right institutional partner for INPIM within Japan, and Mr. Suzuki is the right person within that institute. Mr. Suzuki has direct experience with PIM through his professional research both in Japan and in several other countries. We would like to extend a very warm welcome Mr. Suzuki as the newest member of the INPIM Board of Directors. We would also like to thank Mr. Shin Imai for his initiative and hard work as INPIM Board member and for actively recruiting INPIM members in Japan. It is our hope that he will remain in close contact with INPIM members in the future.
