Job Announcement: INPIM Coordinator

The International Network on Participatory Irrigation Management (INPIM) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the full-time Coordinator position. (Mr. Matthew Heberger, who has served in this capacity for nearly two years, will leaving INPIM to further his studies, and we wish him the best.)
Please note that INPIM is unable to sponsor candidates for visas -- only candidates with legal authorization to work in the United States will be considered.
Small international NGO based in Washington, DC, seeks full-time coordinator
beginning in August 2001. INPIM advocates for reform in the irrigation
sector in developing countries and works closely with donor organizations.
The coordinator is a generalist with many responsibilities including office
management, accounting, correspondence, database and website administration,
editing and laying out a semi-annual newsletter, and conference planning.
The candidate should possess excellent organizational and computer skills;
an interest/background in water resources and/or community participation;
motivation and the ability to work independently. Must be an excellent
communicator with tact, diplomacy, and cross-cultural skills. French,
Spanish, or other language highly desirable. Potential for some international
